Plastic (HDPE) Idlers

Plastic (HDPE) roller with AMG Karel Picha company logo.

Plastic rollers are a lightweight, durable, and quiet alternative to steel idlers. They are manufactured in an 89 mm diameter and feature high abrasion resistance, self-cleaning properties, and complete corrosion resistance.

At approximately half the weight of steel idlers, they allow for easier handling, lower transport costs, and reduced energy consumption during conveyor startup and shutdown.

The roller’s design prevents material buildup between the troughing set (frame) and the end cap, while the materials used ensure lower noise levels and reduce material adhesion (carryback). In the event of a bearing seizure, the idler shell acts as a sacrificial sliding surface that will not damage the belt.

Shafts can be manufactured with stepped ends of Ø 12, 14, 15, or 16 mm, and with internal or external threads. Dimensions and design can be customized to customer specifications.

Special Types

Flat conveyor belts.

Belts with Two Plies – DUO

DUO type belts consist of two woven EP plies that are not longitudinally bonded. Between the plies is a thicker rubber layer, which reduces stress between the individual plies during operation.

These belts typically have cut, unprotected edges and are used where higher belt flexibility is required.

Patterned Belts

Patterned conveyor belts have a rough profile on the carrying side to prevent slippage of the conveyed material.

• For uni-directional or bi-directional, flat or slider bed transport, a rigid EMF fabric without a bottom cover is used.

• For troughed belts, a flexible EP fabric with a bottom cover is used.

Conveyor Belts with Molded Profiles – Chevrons

The profiles (cleats) are made of the same material as the covers and are formed simultaneously with the belt during vulcanization. They have protected (molded) edges, and their type and pattern can be customized by agreement with the customer. We also supply other types of profiled belts upon request.

Belts with Bonded Profiles

The profiles (cleats) are made of the same material as the covers but are bonded onto an already vulcanized belt. We supply multiple profile types, and their layout can be customized to customer requirements.

Belts with Bonded Corrugated Sidewalls

Corrugated sidewalls are bonded onto the belt, with heights ranging from 80 to 120 mm, or as agreed. For steep incline conveying, transverse cleats can be placed between the sidewalls. We supply several designs and provide installation according to customer wishes.

Elevator Belts

These belts have an EP carcass with an open (cut) edge or occasionally a protected (molded) edge. They are suitable for the vertical transport of material in bucket elevators and discharge systems.
